In 1961, The Les Paul Model was changed from the shape we immediately think of to what we know now as the SG. The Epiphone G-400 Custom is our faithful reissue of this elegant reincarnation, the 1961 Les Paul Custom. In fact, it even bears Les' signature and model name on the pickguard extension plate at the end of the fingerboard. It features classic all-Mahogany carved-body constuction with three Alnico Classic Humbucker Pickups that produce a wall of classic SG tone. The set, Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard has bold, block inlays and the look is true vintage glamour with Antique Ivory finish and Gold hardware, boasting Grover machine heads and the sustain-enhancing LocTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, exclusive from Epiphone.
